Thank You Card

Again, trying to use up some of my non-CTMH paper. I like this card's simple, quick, and cute! I'm going to make more cards like this! I used the Friendship Alphabet Stamp set.

Ladybug Card

I have SO MUCH paper and embellishments and stickers from my pre-Close to my Heart days that I'm trying to use up, since I mostly use CTMH products now. I found these cute ladybug paper, stickers, and die-cut, so I made this card for my sister.

Handmade Invitations

I took pictures of these once they were in the cello bag, so pardon the reflections :) My aunt's friend always sees the cards I send to my aunt and wanted me to make some invitations for her to send out. So I did! These are 5" x 7" flat (don't open).

A Peek into "Wishes"

Wishes is the new Card book from Close to my Heart. It is seriously amazing. Buy it. You will LOVE it! Not only does it have amazing patterns and how-to instructions on how to make dozens of cards, but it has a few card "workshops." So, say you need to make a bunch of Christmas cards. It has a how-to on making 10 Christmas cards quickly. Everyone who makes cards should have this book. It's so inspiring!!! Plus every few pages there's a technique with step-by-step pictures. This book is nothing short of awesome.

I just got my rolling tote from Close to my Heart. I had a rolling tote already, but this one is bigger and more sturdy. Since I'm traveling to workshops w/ all my goodies now, I needed something that was better quality and more practical for what I do. Plus I got it for 50% off...that makes it even better! My sister hosted my catalog release party so she got the hostess rewards for the sales from the party. Our sales were GREAT! She got $100 in FREE product, plus any TWO items from the Idea Book at 50% off. She let me use one of her 50% off items :)

Inside view. Lots of dividers and compartments! I used this at my last workshop and only needed this and my carry tote. Usually I have lots more to carry! LOVE it! (See my cat in the background? She's so nosey.)

Mojo Monday Challenge #88 | Two Cards!

For this week's Mojo Monday challenge I made this card for my cousin who just graduated from nursing school and made a big move to New York City. She's studying for her board exams, so this card should cheer her up and give her some encouragement! I LOVE those girls from the Be Yourself May Stamp of the Month. It's definitely my favorite stamp of the month in a long time! (It's only available until May 31, so snag it before it's gone!)

Stamp Sets: Be Yourself - the May stamp of the Month (still available until May 31) and Star Struck.
Colors: Three of the four colors are retired, unfortunately - Breeze, Carnation Pink, and Orchid Bouquet. The fourth is Citrus Leaf. Love the bright colors!
Other supplies: White daisy gosgrain ribbon, Cuttlebug folder, button brads

I liked this sketch so much that I used it for my CTMH card swap this month! I used the Stardust paper pack. I'm such a sucker for stars so I love this paper pack, but I don't often have a reason to use it. One of these days there has got to be a little boy in my life to scrapbook and make cards for :) (Not that I'm complaining too much...I get to use the adorable Daydream paper an awful lot for my niece, Madison. She's going to be 1 next month...I can't believe it!)

Stamp Set: Shining Star (one of my all-time favorites!)
Colors: Moonstruck, topiary, desert sand, white daisy
Supplies used: edge distresser, white daisy grograin ribbon

And here is the Mojo Monday sketch I used...

Lots 'o Cards!

Here are some cards I've done recently. I'm behind on posting them.

These first ones are using the new Bella paper and Tickled Pink stamp set. The Tickled Pink kit is still available until the end of May. Here's more info on how to get it for free!

I love using the bamboo background on cards.

This is probably my all-time favorite stamp set. It was the first one I ever owned...With Love. Love this Daydream paper too.

Some of Amanda's Cards using TLC

My friend/customer, Amanda, just bought the new TLC stamp set. She sent me these cute cards she made with it! I LOVE it when you ladies send me pictures using your CTMH send them to me and I'll post them on my blog!

Here's what Amanda said about her cards...
"What I love about the set is that you can make a bunch of blank cards in advance and then add a sentiment later to fit what you need to send a card for....I tried to incorporate more stamps in the last card. It's for my niece in 4th grade. The idea is to have it look like she was doodling on graph paper."

Mojo Monday Challenge #87 | Birthday Card

I made this card for my sister's birthday. I just got this Star Struck stamp set and absolutely love it. Had a lot of fun with the arrows and stars with this card. The background is random-stamped in Citrus Leaf, Breeze, Pink Carnation, and Orchid Bouquet (last 3 are retired). Also used a few stamps from the Shining Star set.

Five-Minute Card

This is a 3" x 3" card that I literally did in about 5 minutes. It's nothing fancy, but it's cute and would be a perfect card to accompany a birthday present.

The base card is Sunkiss Yellow cardstock. I stamped a little flower around the edges in Heavenly Blue. Then mounted a 2.75" x 2.75" piece of Heavenly Blue Cardstock. I stamped the solid flower in Sunkiss Yellow and flower outline in Heavenly Blue onto a 2.5" x 2.5" piece of white cardstock. I distressed the edges which can be a little more time consuming, so if you leave that part out this card will be even faster. Then just mounted the stamped square onto the middle, added a rhinestone for a just a touch of elegance, and viola!

Here is another card using this same stamp set. This tri-panel card is super fun to make and was the card we made at one of the most fun Close to my Heart parties I taught! If you want to learn how to make's not as hard as it looks...and I'll show you if you host a party!

Stamp Set used: Delight in Everything (this was one of the very first CTMH stamp sets I bought, and is still one of my all-time favorites! It's a great go-to set for anytime.)

Clover Good Luck Card

I forgot to post this back in March. One of my friends got a new job just before St. Patrick's Day, so I made her this good luck/St. Paddy's card. I forget where I saw the idea to use hearts for the clover, but isn't it clever? Makes it super easy!

Supplies used:
Misc. paper I had lying around, white daisy grosgrain ribbon from CTMH, Dainty Thoughts Stamp Set, Clear sparkle, Cricut for the hearts and circle.

Stamp Set: Cupcake Sprinkles
Supplies: Cuttlebug - Swiss Dots folder, Cricut - George, corner rounder, liquid glass

Frames Galore!

I've been very busy making cards with all the great new Close to my Heart products! I have a couple things to post today, and I'll be posting lots more cards soon!!!

I told you that I'd have a sample of a wedding "What's in a Frame" and here it is! My friend Gracie needed a wedding gift and asked me to help her put a picture frame together. She brought me a 5" x 7" picture of the couple's engagement and I came up with this...

I used the Emporium paper, cocoa ribbon, and chipboard letters from Close to my Heart. I will be selling these wedding frames in my etsy shop. Just provide me with a 5x7 photo (vertical or horizontal are fine) and let me know what colors you'd like to to be, and I will create an 8x10 framed artpiece like this ...

Here's another frame that I made. This is a hostess gift I made for my sister...she hosted my new Idea Book release party. I cut out all the flowers on my Cricut using the Daydream paper from Close to my Heart. I put a layer of flowers covering the actual frame, then went back and added more flowers on 3D foam. Add some rhinestones and you have an adorable frame! How cute is my niece?! This picture was taken several months ago...she looks so different now! I'll also be selling these frames in my etsy shop. Let me know if you're interested!
