I used to make a necklace for Chris's grandma for almost every birthday and Christmas. She absolutely loved her handmade necklaces and was so proud to tell everyone that her grandson's wife made them for her. "Isn't it just elegant," she'd say.
Her very favorite necklace was this one, her Salvation Necklace. She was an amazing woman of God and appreciated the message behind the colors of the Swarovsky beads. (Black=sin, Red=Christ's blood shed for us, Blue=angels, Gold=Heaven, Clear=purity, Green=growth in Christ.) Grandma passed away in June, and her sweet caregiver, Acela, who was like family, asked if she could have Peggy's favorite necklace. The necklace was so loved that many of the beads were getting worn. So I re-made the necklace for Acela and finally gave it to her for Christmas.
