What's All the Cricut Hype About?

**FREE shipping on the must-have Art Philosophy Cricut Collection!**
I'm paying your shipping on all new CTMH orders over $99, which includes this awesome cartridge. You can also qualify for the current Stamp of the Month for just $5 more! (I'll cover half the shipping cost on orders to Alaska/Hawaii.) Contact me to order and to find our all the current specials at jaymalew [at] gmail [dot] com.

Have you heard all the talk about the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge? The collection is available only through Close to my Heart! Keep reading to see why you NEED this cartridge and how you can get it for 50% off!

Have you looked through the new Spring Summer Idea Book? There are lots of must-have new products! You can browse here.

Close to my Heart thinks of everything, I'll tell ya! The new Art Philosophy cartridge includes tons of shapes, a font, 3D flowers and boxes, and more! But that's not even the coolest part...there are coordinating stamps to go with the Cricut shapes! And three of those stamp sets come WITH the Cricut cartridge!

Check out all you'll get in your Cricut Art Philosophy Collection:
1 – Cartridge (700 images: Font, Shapes, and 3D items)
3 – Coordinating My Acrylix® D-size Stamp Sets
3 – Coordinating 9" x 12" Dimensional Elements Sheets (Tags, Mixed Shapes, Banners)

In addition to the 3 stamp sets that come in the collection, there are numerous sets in the Idea book that match up with the Cricut shapes. And they're easy to spot as you look through the catalog...you'll find a red line around the stamp if it coordinates. Then once you receive the stamp set, you'll find a size, in inches, printed right onto the stamp's carrier sheet. This size represents what you need to set your Cricut at in order to match the size of the stamp perfectly! Brilliant, right?!

Here's a picture I took at the CTMH Convention in July, when Art Philosophy was unveiled. This was a class taught on the new Cricut cartridge by Chris Hill at Extravaganza. Each of the boards on the bottom of her display represent what just ONE button on the Art Philosophy keypad can do! How cool is that?! It's so versatile!

Let me tell you a secret. I owned my original Cricut for 3 years and the only cartridge I had was the George cartridge that it came with. I never found another cartridge versatile enough for me to justify spending $40-$80 on it. But I am ECSTATIC about Art Philosophy! It has over 700 images...popular, trendy, and timeless images. Doilies, stars, hearts, brackets, flourishes, tags, banners, alphabet, scallops, circles, ovals...I could go on and on.

On top of the images you'll get 6 different 3D flowers. The Cricut cuts out the spiral shape, and you just roll them up. And you'll also find a bunch of 3D boxes...a fry box, various gift boxes and handled bags, a pillow box, and more! And since you'll cut them on your Cricut, you can make them any size you need! You'll have so much fun playing with it all...I've been having a blast!

The new Art Philosophy Cricut Collection is priced at just $99. Now, I know that seems like a lot for a Cricut cartridge. But you get more than just the cartridge. You also get 3 D-size stamp sets, which are a $53.85 value on their own. And you get 3 Dimensional Elements chipboard sheets, which are valued at $14.85. So it's really like only paying $30.30 for the cartridge! But not just any cartridge, the best, most complete cartridge I've seen on the market!

If you're still not convinced, here's a little video that Close to my Heart put together to show off some of the cool things the new Art Philosophy cartridge can do.

Now that you see how awesome it is, you NEED one, right?! If you order your own Art Philosophy Collection you can also get the Stamp of the Month for just $5!

Wanna get Art Philosophy for 50% off? Host a party, and if your sales reach $250, you can not only choose the Art Philosophy collection at half off, but you'll also get $40 in free products of your choice! (Choose from stamps, paper, and inks.) If you live in the Puget Sound area, I can come to your house for a party, or you can host an online party.

Your own order can get you free goodies, too! A $150 order gets an extra $25 in free products! If you are planning to place a $150+ yourself let me know...I can set up the catalog party for you so you still get the rewards! Or if you're planning to spend $250 for yourself (you know how easy it is to do that), you'd get $40 in free products plus any item (Art Philosophy included) at 50% off.

Wedding Scrapbook Layout - Key to my Heart

I've been hoarding this Key to My Heart paper from Close to my Heart for quite some time! But I have a reason. It has a lot of Sorbet (coral color) in it, which is the color of my cousin's wedding. She married her sweet hubby over 3 years ago, and I already made their wedding scrapbook, but I was so burned out that I didn't want to do my own! Until now. I FINALLY finished scrapbooking their wedding for myself. I'll be sharing the layouts with you over the coming weeks.

I had to include the place cards on the left page because my aunt made them. She's an artist and her medium of choice is watercolor...she made all the place cards! I think they're so beautiful and am so glad I'm a scrapbooker so I can cherish them forever! Luckily for her it was a small destination wedding, but she still had to make 30 of them.

I especially love how the right page of this layout turned out. Can you spot all the new product I used?!

I can't get enough of these bling buttons! They are SO sparkly and beautiful in person! And those fun chipboard pieces are cool, too. I cut one of the circles in half. Those swirl stamps are also new.

Here's another shot of the big and small bling buttons. I tied waxy flax in the middle, then twirled the ends between my fingers to unravel it and give the frayed look. Check out the new pin clip! Love it! It's holding a stamp from the new "10 Things" stamp set. The whole stamp says "I Do Everyday", but I cut it so that only "I Do" is in my layout.

And here's another little peek at new product. More fun pins! They come packaged with the bling buttons in the new "Bling Assortment." All these goodies will be available Aug. 1! Just a few more days!

Happy scrapping!

Christmas in July - Card Inspiration

It may seem too early to talk about Christmas...but if you're anything like me, you procrastinate until the last minute and your cards end up getting to people the day before Christmas! And if you've ever made your Christmas cards, you know it's a labor of love that takes many hours (but worth it!).

I admit, I haven't started making cards for this year. Being said procrastinator, I made most of my 2010 cards pretty late in the season, so I ran out of time to post them on my blog before Christmas. But I did take pictures and dug them off to inspire you for 2011! I hope you don't procrastinate like I did last year. And I hope you'll hold me to not procrastinating this year!

First up are a few cards designed by my dear friend Jen. We held an all-you-can-create Christmas card workshop and these were some of her designs. Love them!
I love the above "I Believe" stamp set. It's was so popular that it's back for round 2 in the new Idea Book! You can snag it here.

These next cards were some of my designs. The first 2 were part of our Christmas card workshop. I tried to keep them pretty simple since I had so many to create. I handmade ALL of my Christmas cards!!!
Lovin' this jumbo Martha Stewart snowflake punch. It's so pretty just on its own.
I had to make some penguin cards because my dear friend Melissa loves her some penguins! I sent some penguins to other friends, too.

I hope you'll dust off your Christmas stamps and get to work early. Or better yet, buy some of the adorable new ones available in the new CTMH Idea Book. Beginning August 1 you can look through the new book here!

When you make your own Christmas cards you will hear about them from everyone who receives one...I know from experience! Give it a try, and let me know if you need help!

Happy creating!

Swap Cards - Thanks a Bunch

I just joined a swap group with 4 other ladies and for our first swap we decided to use one of Mojo Monday's past sketches. I decided to use some paper I got at Paper Source quite a while ago and fell in love with, and coordinating cardstock from there as well.
I stamped the background in 2nd generation Juniper ink with Close to my Heart's Universal Backgrounds stamp set (one of my favorites). I have been so into background stamps lately. The "Thanks a Bunch" stamp is from the Thank You stamp set...another must-have set. I can't tel you how much I go to this stamp set...you can never have too many thank you stamps!

Thanks for stopping by...happy stamping!

Cupcake-Shaped Card

My niece recently turned 3 and her birthday party was a Strawberry Shortcake theme. So I found a cupcake-shaped card template and created this cute card for her!

I used the Sophia paper pack from Close to my heart...this paper fits her perfectly. Her room is pink and green, plus pink is her favorite color. I made this while I was in San Diego visiting my family and had limited supplies with me. I really wanted to add one of CTMH's cute new pink buttons as the cherry on top, but had to settle for a Michael's dollar bin button. Which still looks adorable and no one knows the difference...except me! The final touches were some pink sparkles for sprinkles and white lines with my gel pen on the "wrapper."

Thanks for stopping by...happy creating!

Christmas in July - Tropical Christmas With Copics

Is it too early for Christmas cards yet? I thought I'd get started on a few Christmas cards...you know how fast the time goes as we get closer to the end of the year! I thought this tropical Christmas card would be a good one to start with.

I made this same card for my friend Stephanie last year and forgot to post it. I used the Tropical Christmas stamp set, an oldie but a goodie...and perfect to send to my family in sunny San Diego, CA and my aunt in Florida. I also used A Little Everything for "Have a Happy Christmas." I love this stamp set because it covers just about every holiday or occasion.

I don't use Copic markers much, but I've played with them a few times and am starting to get the hang of them. I used them to color the sun and palm tree in this bright and cheery card.
Happy crafting!
