Use Your Scraps: Super Easy 3x3 Thank You Cards

I love 3x3 cards. They're quick, easy, and cute, which is what I need since I include one in every order that my customers place. And it's even more important to be quick now that my crafty time is limited with my little one :)

Here are some 3x3 thank you cards I made using retired paper from one of CTMH's specials a few years back. I still love it, but only have small scraps left, which was perfect for this design.

The stamp set I used is also retired but one of my favorites. You could replace it with the A True Thank You stamp (which is only $2.95!) You can use this stamping technique with any stamp!

The flowers and sentiment are all one stamp. I first stamped just "Thanks a Bunch" by inking only that part in chocolate ink. Then I cleaned the stamp and inked the flowers in Sweet Leaf, then immediately inked the tops of the flowers in Dutch Blue (a retired color) before stamping on the cardstock. Since the Sweet Leaf is so light, I didn't need to worry that I inked over it in a darker color. (Be sure you DON'T ink in a darker color first, then add a lighter color. Your darker color will stain the lighter ink pad.)

That's it! Each card just took a few minutes, and they were easy to mass-produce. (A few bitty sparkles would look cute in the flower centers, too!)

Happy crafting :)

A True Thank You

Artbooking Made Easy: Spooky Halloween Layouts & Designed Decor Flip Stand Album

I don't want to overwhelm you with videos today, so here are just more 2 episodes. You can see them all on Close to my Heart's YouTube channel...and I'll post the rest later.

Episode 4 is about Halloween scrapbook layouts. REALLY cute products!

And this next video features some adorable mini book stands using scrapbook pieces from Artbooking. Remember that this cartridge sizes everything for you to fit proportionately to the projects in the booklet, so use REAL DIAL SIZE when you are using cuts on their own, and not as shown in the featured project.

Happy Cricuting!

Stephanie's Paper Rose Bouquet

Last year my sweet friend Stephanie married the man of her dreams. She had a lovely private wedding in Jamaica, and another wedding for family and friends at Dale's parents' house in WA. I was lucky enough to attend the 2nd wedding where she carried her bridal bouquet that she made, which was designed after mine :)

I was touched that Stephanie wanted to make her bouquet like the ones I've made. She watched my video, I gave her some pointers, and then she made it. Recently she also made her own video tutorial!

Here are some photos of her with her bouquet. I love the colors! (I am not sure who to give credit to for these photos, but they are not mine.)

If you'd like to make your own wedding bouquet for a bride, bridesmaid, or even flower girl, you'll need the Art Philosophy or Artiste Cricut Cartridge and a few other supplies. Watch my video tutorial >

Happy creating!
