Welcome to another CTMH Technique blog hop. This month we are featuring Shakers! You may have come from Tamara's blog, but if not, that's ok, you can continue the hop in a circle.
I just can't get enough of CTMH's shaker windows—they make creating shaker cards so easy! (Case in point: I made 3 shaker cards for last month's blog hop using a totally different technique.)
I decided to recreate a shaker version of my Christmas card from last year using the new 'Tis the Season paper and red glitter paper. My original card post is HERE and includes a snowglobe window (not a shaker) that reveals our family photo. I created it before CTMH came out with the shaker windows—it would have been so much easier to make this card with these tools last year!
Here's my new photo shaker Christmas card. I created a video to go along with this so be sure to scroll down to view it.
I am not sending this as our family card this year since it's so similar to last year's (plus this photo is from a few years ago), but I wanted to show you how cute and easy it is with the shaker windows and shaker window die cuts. I am sharing my updated Cricut Design Space file (below) if you'd like to make this card.
Process Video
I made this video showing how I created my shaker card. You can view it below or over on YouTube. (If you enjoy the video, I'd LOVE it if you'd subscribe!)
Let me know your thoughts!
I'm always trying to improve my videos so you have the best experience. I tried a different style for this video—I did it in real-time and explained what I did as I was doing it. Typically I speed up the process and do a voiceover so that the video isn't too long. Which way do you prefer? (Sometimes my scrapbooking processes take over an hour so I have to speed it up, but this card didn't take too long!)
