Baby Nursery Decor Process Video with Cricut File | Adventure is Calling and I Must Go | What's in a Frame

I am so excited to share this project with you because these baby nursery decor frames are one of my absolute favorite things to make! And this one was for a very special little boy - my kids' daycare teacher's son!

I have shared many nursery decor frames with you in the past (I call them "What's in a Frame") - you can see them all HERE. But this one is quite a departure from my typical style. This is also the first time I've made a video of my process to share with you.

These 8x10 decor pieces are so fun because they are so customized and are always so touching to the parents for that reason. I love giving these for baby shower gifts or even to toddlers and older children. Kids love to see their name in their room!

I created most of the pieces for this design using my Cricut machine, with the exception of those cute stitched felt stickers. Those are Jolee's stickers that I found at Joann's. I have linked my Cricut Design Space file below if you'd like to make something like this. I would LOVE if you'd share with me if you create one! You can post it to my Facebook page or email me!

Here is my process video. You can watch it below or over on YouTube in HD. Below it are more photos, details, and the link to my Cricut file.

Here is Mrs. Holly with her frame right after I gave it to her. She has been such an awesome addition to our lives, as have all of the teachers at my kids' daycare! She is the baby room teacher and has been nicknamed "the baby whisperer" because she's so good with those little babes. :) My kiddos are no longer in the baby room but we still see Mrs. Holly there regularly!

I love that the adventure theme is so fitting for living in Oregon as well as how much Ben and their family love adventuring. That is one of the perks of creating this type of decor once the child starts showing some personality versus making it when they are a baby. Ben was almost 2 when I made this, so Holly knew that he was quite the adventurous little guy. But Either way is fun - it's always fun to make decor for a themed nursery! Decorating my kids' nurseries was one of the most fun parts of preparing for a baby :)

I hope you enjoyed this! If you are interested in the Cricut cartridges I used, I've linked them below.

Happy creating!

Rainbow Card Using Cricut, Die Cuts & Stamping | Free Cricut Design Space File

I have a bright and cheery rainbow card to share with you today, complete with a process video (below).

I wanted to make a rainbow & sun card because of that fun sentiment from the January stamp of the month that says "sending you sunshine and rainbows." I think it's such a fun sentiment for a variety of needs. This can be used as a sympathy card, a thinking of you card, a birthday card, and so much more. Who doesn't need a little brightness added to their day when they open up their mail?!

I had this idea in my head to make a rainbow coming out of clouds. I used the Decorative Borders thin cuts dies (seriously a must-have) to make the clouds from White Daisy cardstock. (Watch my video to see how I added single clouds from the border to make them "fluffier.")

Once I started playing, this turned out quite different from what I initially envisioned in my head, and at first I didn't like it. But once I got used to it, it grew on me :) Does that ever happen to you? I think this looks very artsy with the stamped "splatters."

Here is my process video for this card. You can view it below or in HD over on YouTube. If you enjoyed this video, please be sure to subscribe

Here is the Cricut Design Space file:

You can use the Rainbow "rings" for free, but in order to use the sun you'll need to own the CTMH You Are Here collection. If you don't have this collection already, it is amazing - there's a font and hundreds of cuts on it plus it comes with coordinating stamps! Well worth the purchase!!

CTMH cardstock cuts SO NICELY on the Cricut. It is a heavy weight plus I think it has to do with the fact that's a white core - it isn't dyed all the way through. Whatever the reason, it will always be my go-to Cricut paper. The CTMH patterned paper is also cardstock-weight and cuts just as nicely.

Here is the January stamp of the month, Card Captions. It is available for only $5 with any $50 purchase on my website.

Rainbow Card Set Using Card Captions January Stamp of the Month

Today I have more cards using the January stamp of the month, Card Captions. I made several card sets for family members for Christmas using this stamp set. I love how easy it was to make a set with the same look for a variety of occasions. This SOTM is definitely a must-have, especially at only $5 with a $50 purchase!

I paired Card Captions with a retired set, Be a Rainbow, 🌈 as well as some Central Park Sequins. I just love CTMH's adhesive-backed sequins! (Check out the new I Heart Us Sequins.)

I kept these cards simple since I was making a bunch of them, yet they are so colorful and fun that they still pack a punch! You could use this clean-and-simple card sketch with so many different stamp sets, stickers, or die-cuts. You can see a couple of cards I made using this similar CAS sketch HERE.

The colors I used for the stamped rainbow and the cardstock bases were Candy Apple, Tangerine, Lemon, Willow, and Bluebird. (The color Tangerine is now retired but I like the new Nectarine better anyway.) I stamped the sentiments from the Card Captions stamp set in Archival Black ink. I love this ink because it’s a very vivid black. It does stain your stamps, but that doesn’t bother me.

If you'd like to get this stamp of the month for only $5, all you have to do is spend $50 on my CTMH website. With a brand-new Idea Book/catalog filled with awesome products, believe me, that's not hard to do!
